Statistics Tables.
Note: Information in these tables supersedes the IBA
site general descriptions as well as information in the IBA book.
Please read the Site Notes document for details
of how the boundaries were determined, definitions and data sources for each
class of information. For each IBA we present an excel workbook with the
following worksheets (tabs or folders at the bottom of the workbook) available
for each site.
Acreage and percent of total acreage for core and
conservation buffer boundaries for total area, wetlands, stewardship lands
(publicly-owned or protected by easement) and privately owned lands.
Summary of acreage and percent of total for area
occupied by water, mixed (deciduous and coniferous) forest, deciduous forest,
transitional (early successional forest or shrub land), annual herbaceous,
barren (no vegetation or paved), forested suburban, and urban.
Summary of acreage and percent of total for area
occupied by wetlands as per the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s National
Wetlands Inventory (NWI).
Details of active and inactive Christmas Bird
Counts, Breeding Bird Survey routes and a list of the results of the first
Pennsylvania Breeding Bird Atlas including the relative frequency of occurrence
of breeding birds within the IBA core boundary
(number of blocks within an IBA in which the bird was observed divided
by the total number of blocks in the IBA expressed as a percentage).
A list of the name and acreage of all publicly
owned, some other managed areas and some of those under conservation easement
contained with in the IBA (based on the PASDA Stewardship data layer)
Tabulated list of birds observed on Breeding Bird
Survey routes within or close to the IBA for the most recent 20 years. This
data set is not complete for all IBAs as of April 2004. The worksheet may not
be present.
