Abraham (he, him) was born and raised in northern Mexico and moved to the US when he wasa teenager. He have been working at the center since 2018 doing bilingual programs for Baltimore’s Latinx population. Today, he is the Educator and Outreach Associate at the center and the lead of the Latinx Bird Ambassadors program; which looks to connect the Latinx community with migratory birds. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Education. Following an internship with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Abraham became a bilingual environmental educator working for the Patterson Park Audubon Center. He enjoys using nature to bring people together and spends most days as an environmental educator working directly with the Latinx community.
