The merger of Audubon Pennsylvania and Audubon Maryland-DC unites a robust grassroots network of 26 local chapters and more than 150,000 members as advocates for Mid-Atlantic birds. Audubon Mid-Atlantic's on-the-ground efforts in Pennsylvania and Maryland will continue and will now catalyze a large-scale conservation vision that encompasses both states, which are critically important for bird species traveling along the Atlantic Flyway.
Our work includes local conservation education and engagement initiatives at our four nature centers (The Discovery Center in Philadelphia, the Patterson Park Audubon Center in Baltimore, the John James Audubon Center in Audubon, PA and the Pickering Creek Audubon Center in Easton, MD). Audubon Mid-Atlantic also protects and restores critical bird habitats within coastal Maryland, the Delaware Watershed and the forests of the Pennsylvania Wild through conservation and advocacy work.
