Bird-Friendly Communities Takes Flight in Duncannon
Audubon's Bird-Friendly Communities program has taken flight in Duncannon! On October 9th, neighbors and community partners came together to plant over 150 plants in a Bird-Friendly community garden at the Clark's Ferry Tavern. This community conservation project along the Kittatinny Ridge spotlighted Duncannon as the first of three communities taking part in an effort to increase native stopover habitat for birds migrating along the Ridge. The new garden will be as beautiful for the community as it is beneficial for the birds.
Thank you to everyone who came together with their time, talents, and good humor to bring this project to life!
