Heather Gibson Moqtaderi is the curator for the National Audubon Society's collection of ornithological art, rare books, and artifacts. Based at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, she develops site-specific contemporary arts programming that explores the cultural and natural history of Mill Grove. Previous to this role, she was Interim Director of Environmental Art at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, where she curated exhibitions and oversaw the artistic production of an outdoor dance theater performance. From 2011-2021, Heather was a curator at the University of Pennsylvania, where she organized exhibitions of contemporary and historic art and artifacts, and managed a collection of 8,000+ artworks in over 100 campus locations. She is also an experienced educator, having taught Art History and Museum Studies at Drexel University, Penn, and University of the Arts. Heather holds a Master of Arts in Early American Culture and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from the University of Delaware.
