Jennifer Sliko

Landscape Conservation Specialist

Jennifer Sliko joined Audubon Mid-Atlantic in October 2024 and is excited to work on conservation issues in the region. Prior to joining Audubon, Jenn was a geoscientist faculty at Penn State Harrisburg and an environmental scientist faculty at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. In academia, her recent research projects included examining several stream restoration sites in Lancaster County to determine if they continue to reduce nutrient levels in several target streams. She also investigated the effectiveness of various novel techniques utilized in general education science classes. Jenn earned her PhD. in geoscience in 2010 from the University of South Florida where she used light stable isotopes in Pliocene corals for paleoenvironmental reconstructions.

When not working on landscape-level conservation issues in the Mid-Atlantic region, Jenn volunteers as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) assisting the Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys hiking and camping with her family.

Audubon Maryland-DC and Audubon Pennsylvania have joined forces to become Audubon Mid-Atlantic.
