Scott Parkhill

Forest Program Manager, Audubon Mid-Atlantic

Scott’s work in the forest program seeks to inform and coordinate forest bird habitat management primarily in private forests of the mid-Atlantic region. Recent projects focus on reducing the cost of mature forest bird habitat management by utilizing carbon market incentives. Prior to Audubon, Scott worked for an array of federal, state, academic, and non-profit organizations at the intersection of wildlife and forest management. Scott earned his master’s degree at Penn State researching wood thrush ecology and forest management, and his bachelor’s from the University of Maine where he researched spruce grouse ecology in northern Maine’s working forest landscape

Audubon Maryland-DC and Audubon Pennsylvania have joined forces to become Audubon Mid-Atlantic.
