Join us for a Fall Migration bird walk!
Explore the grounds of the John James Audubon Center and discover amazing migratory birds like Wood Thrush, Baltimore Oriole, and Indigo Bunting. Learn about important water resources like the Perkiomen Creek, and other critical habitat that migratory and resident birds passing through Mill Grove depend on.
Then, after a short break, explore the Historic House, the first home in America of John James Audubon. Following a short introduction to the place where Audubon developed his technique for drawing birds "from life" that would allow him to become one of the world's best-known wildlife artists, take a self-guided tour of the House for an up close look at many original Audubon prints, oil paintings, and memorabilia.
Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather. Snacks and locally roasted coffee will be provided. This event is hosted in partnership with Valley Forge Audubon Society.
