We’re happy to host the Philadelphia Mycology Club for our first ever mushroom foray! Join us as we collect, and document fungus found in the forest and trails of Mill Grove.
Meet us outside the Visitor’s Center at 1pm. After a brief introduction, we will break into groups to look for mushrooms. If it is your first time and/or you feel like you need guidance, you will be able to follow more experienced members/volunteers. If you are comfortable hiking alone or with your party, feel free to do so and the more we split up, the more mushrooms we'll find!
At 2:00 pm, we will all meet back at the starting point to identify and talk about what we found and have a little picnic. Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own snack or drink as well.
Close-toed shoes and long pants are recommended. Children are welcome to attend. Children under 12-years must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is recommended, but not required. By registering for this event, you grant the Philadelphia Mycology Club permission to use photographs and/or video of you taken at the event in publications, online, and in other communications related to the Philadelphia Mycology Club.
