Audubon Mid-Atlantic Statement on Governor Wolf's Growing Green III Plan

The Governor's $450 million proposal is a win for birds and people across the Commonwealth.

In response to Governor Wolf's Growing Green III proposal, Audubon Mid-Atlantic issued the following statement:

“The Growing Green III plan offers Pennsylvania a great opportunity to protect and restore critical habitat, increase the public’s access to outdoor recreation, and support efforts that address the growing threats of climate change. These proposed investments will benefit birds and people across the Commonwealth. We applaud Governor Wolf for offering a plan that would devote $450 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to this work and for increasing the total funding for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources up to $638 million. We urge the state legislature to support the Governor’s proposals,” said Suzanne Biemiller, executive director of Audubon Mid-Atlantic.
