Aneca Atkinson brings more than a decade of experience in water resources and environmental engineering. Aneca's experience includes a tenure at the Pennsylvania of Environmental Protection which began in 2007 in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Aneca served in a variety of positions within the agency, During her tenure Aneca served in executive level positions as Director and Deputy Secretary. While serving as Deputy Secretary for Water Programs, Aneca oversaw a multitude of bureaus and offices responsible for water quality, soil and water conservation, public water supplies, sewage, industrial discharges, flood protection and wetland and stream restoration, perseveration, and conservation. In this capacity Aneca helped to develop and implement Pennsylvania's Phase 3 Watershed Implementation Plan for Chesapeake Bay watershed, and oversaw the program implementation and fund disbursement for Pennsylvania's 319 Nonpoint Source Management Program - Watershed Implementation Plans and Pennsylvania's Growing Greener grant program. Aneca holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Smith College and a Master of Science Degree in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Villanova University.
