Birding by Canoe Do you love birds, do you love water? Then this is the perfect program for you! An Audubon naturalist will help you identify birds and native plants while you paddle on the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir at The Discovery Center. Followed by a hands-on experience with the freshwater mussel nursery at the Reservoir. Binoculars provided. Best from May through October 2021 |
Beer Tasting Clean water = great beer! And do we have some great beer for you! After a tour of The Discovery Center, you will learn about Audubon’s collaboration with the Brewers of the Delaware River Association and why clean water is good for birds and brews! Discovery Center Tour Enjoy a two-hour guided tour of The Discovery Center’s exhibits and trails with a member of Audubon’s conservation team where you and guests view waterfowl and warblers and learn how Audubon, the local community, and partners work to restore this vital habitat. Film Screening, if you dare! Spooky! Join a film historian and an ornithologist for a panel discussion following a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 film The Birds at the John James Audubon Center. Could birds truly attack with no explanation? Were the birds in the film real? Join us for answers to these questions and more! Best on a fall weeknight, 2021. |
Birding at Mill Grove Bird in the footsteps of John James Audubon! An Audubon naturalist will be your guide as you bird on foot through meadows and woods and by canoe on the Perkiomen Creek. Will you be the first to spot a Belted Kingfisher? Nature is exciting and always changing, so you never know what we will find along the way! John James Audubon Center.
